As of May 28-29, the expanded meeting and on-site office meeting for the leaders’ group of the "Two Second Generations" technology & equipment Innovation and R&D hosted by China Building Materials Federation and undertaken by Southern Cement Co., Ltd. was held in Changxing, Zhejiang. Mr. Qiao Longde, Chairman of China Building Materials Federation, Mr. Gao Dengbang, Chairman of China Cement Association and Chairman of Conch Group, Mr. Cao Jianglin, General Manager of China National Building Material Group, Mr. Xiao Jiaxiang, Vice President of China National Building Materials Limited Corporation and President of Southern Cement, and Mr. Song Shoushun, Chairman and Party Secretary of Sinoma International , Mr. He Xiaolong, Executive Director of Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute(TCDRI), and other relevant leaders and engineers attended the meeting.

Participating leaders and experts visited and inspected Southern Cement Huaikan Clinker Demonstration Production Line with a daily output of 7,500 tons constructed by TCDRI. They walked through the beautiful site of Southern Cement Changxing Plant, and examined the green logistics and green mines of Southern Cement. They were briefed with construction and operation of the second-generation demonstration lines in Huaikan and Wuhu, the preliminary design plan of the second-generation new dry-process cement technology and equipment demonstration project, and the second-generation intelligence promotion progress.

Mr. Qiao Longde fully affirmed the contribution of Sinoma International in the "two second generation" technology and equipment innovation and R&D work. He gave high praise on energy saving and emission reduction, intelligence, beautification and lighting which have been achieved by Southern Cement Huaikan Plant. The innovation vision and building service level demonstrated during construction period were also appreciated. Mr. Qiao Longde pointed out that, the "two second generations" have vigorously promoted industry innovation and transformation upgrading through technological advancement and structural optimization. The focus for the next stage research is to achieve an important transition from "Made in China" to "Created in China".

In his speech, Mr. Cao Jianglin indicated that the "two second generations" have milestone significance in the evolving history of the world's building materials industry, and are also a vivid practice of China's building materials industry to implement supply-side structural reforms and promote high-quality growth. The "two second generations" witnessed the wisdom of the entire industry. To achieve high-quality development in the building materials industry, it calls for building a better ecological environment, better culture and value support, and the joint efforts of the entire industry. The whole industry must cooperate in competition, compete in cooperation, seek common ground while reserving differences, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the building materials industry.

Mr. Song Shoushun expressed in his speech that the essence of the "two second generations" is continuous innovation. He emphasized that R&D work must always adhere to be led by innovation, and constant self-transcendence. He proposed that in R&D work aimed at reducing heat consumption, power consumption, system emissions, and improving operational indicators, technologies such as carbon emission reduction and smart manufacturing should be important subjects for next stage research. Substantial progress in R&D will be achieved by incessantly conquering difficulties. We will make more contributions to the high-quality and sustainable development of the building materials industry.
